One of my fundamental beliefs as a FSL teacher is the importance of exposing my students to as many different francophone voices as possible, whether through videos, music, speeches, guests, or via Skype. In addition to learning to understand French from sources other than me, it also opens up the francophone world to my students.
To this end, I decided to create a video series called, "Un Moment de Français". These videos are short interviews with French-speaking people, intended for FSL students to develop "la compréhension orale". We use them in class to discuss what we are hearing, to make meaning, to reflect on accents and phrases, and to develop understanding in order to communicate.
I hope you find them useful with your students.
